EDIT - GUESTLIST FOR THURSDAY NIGHT'S NYE PARTY NOW CLOSED....sorry if you didn't get on - we did give about half the people who asked guestlist, which is pretty good given the insane demand....if you're planning to go you should get your ticket ASAP via The Stiff Kitten website as it might sell out before doors open! And make sure approach Paul or myself onstage to get some free champagne - we're going to try and keep it all for people who use this blog!!!!
We're going to do our best to make this Thursday's NYE Sketchy the best Sketchy of the entire year :-)
Myself and Paul are planning a set of the best Sketchy anthems of the decade, plenty of your requests and a few surprises. We'll also be handing out the free champagne from the stage come midnight!
Only thing we're not sure about is what will be the first song we play once we hit the new decade....we've a few ideas, but we're looking for more suggestions.
If anyone comes up with something we think is better than anything we've come up with, we'll give you two passes for the night, a reserved table for your friends and a bottle of champagne.
Put your suggestions on this thread - doesn't matter if it's an old song or something new - we're just looking for something pretty epic - proper hands in the air, anthemic stuff - something to soundtrack drunkenly grabbing your mates and telling them you love them ;-)

Hi y'all....
we'll have some proper content up (going to upload some of the more obscure stuff we've played loads this year that you might not have) on Christmas Eve....this is just a wee message to let you know that you can now buy tickets for both our boxing day and new years eve parties HERE.
We're going to put a lot of work into both nights to make sure they're a proper celebration of another great year of party carnage at the Stiff Kitten! also - loads of free shots/champagne will be handed out from the stage.
Tickets are £7 for Boxing day and £10 for NYE.
as for guestlist, a limited number of places for both will be available by the usual method - just fill in the form on the bottom left of this page and put BOXING DAY or NYE in the wee message bit.
only ask for yourself and increase your chances by commenting on this blog - even a request for whatever night your planning to be at sketchy would suffice :-)
guestlist places will be picked at random before 12pm on the day.

a very quick, very early blog this week (i'm off on me holibobs tomorrow morning, YEOOOOOO)
first up, cheers to everyone who came down early to see HAR MAR SUPERSTAR last thursday. sleazy, naked goodness all the way.
even perez hilton was talking about if FFS (cheers to sketchy regular rachel for the tip off) while har mar himself said it was the best gig of the tour despite making ludicrous accusations about the content of his drink (he drank a bottle jaggermiester onstage, maybe THAT was why he ended up in a state?!)

as for thursday, guestlist is now open - so extra time for you to spread the word and have your friends apply for what should be a pretty messy, busy, christmassy typa night. just fill in the form on this page.

tomorrow night's sketchy is a total steal, with one of the single most fun performers on the planet booked to get the party started, with door tax a frankly SCANDALOUS four pounds.
har mar superstar is a bit of a legend - a unique showman, who hangs out with his best mates the strokes, writes screenplays for HBO, acts in comedy shorts and generally makes a nuisance of himself when he's not onstage with his band, or (as he was last year at the SK) the magnificent Neon Neon.
a total sleaze-ball, he's renowned for shows so OTT and daft, they almost make you forget just how good his music is.
seriously, check these tunes out- then imagine them performed by a semi-naked, balding ron jeremy lookalike with a pot belly.
so yeah, it's worth getting down to the stiff kitten well before 8.30pm.
best of all (and i really do think this is RATHER FUCKING COOL of us) sketchy will remain at £4, despite har mar's early gig.
the important thing to remember though, is this:
HAR MAR SUPERSTAR WILL BE ONSTAGE AT 8.30pm SHARP.
the club will follow, as normal, at 10pm-ish.

on a slightly, erm...unrelated note, i was at a party on saturday and met a lady called danielle who met her boyfriend david at sketchy around three years ago. a few months later they bought a cat together (on a thursday) and had to have it looked after so they could head to the club.
they named it....sketchy.
